ReplyDeleteMy name is Ranjeet Sankar. I am from Trivandrum, currently working in Bangalore. I wanted to know about one of N.N.Pillai Sir's work. More than 15 years back, I remember seeing a short episode in DD written by Sir. I don't remember the name of the play and I would really appreciate if you could help me find the name of the work.
The premise of the work is like this...
- A family (husband, wife, kid, husband/wife's sister) sitting in a park.
- A guy approaches the husband and starts making a conversation. He makes the husband uncomfortable by commenting on the wife/sister.
- The guy takes out a knife and threatens the husband. The husband grabs the knife and kills the guy.
- Before the guy dies, he confesses that he is a pychiatrist who was just doing an experiment.
I should confess that I am not even sure 100% that this is a work by Sir. I saw it when I was in my 4th or 5th std!! My apologies if I am just wasting your time. Please let me know if you know about this work.

ReplyDeleteIam biju nettara director of Telefilm Good Knight- an one act play by NN Pillai telecasted in DD in the year 1990. Im happy to know that there are some people who still remember that. And I'm astonished to know that a small boy of 4th or 5th std was impressed by that and still keeps some words about that play in his mind.
I also playede the role of psycriatrist guy and legendry artist Karamana gave life to the husband.
Ive also directed a biographycal documentry in the year 1988 titled NN Pillai the Dramatist whuich won the fil crictics award of that year
